Effect
The iChange Project Instant Interchange by Peter Nardi is a fast-paced card trick where Aces and Kings visually switch places in the performer's hands. The magician shows four Aces and four Kings, places the Kings into their pockets, and moments later, the Kings and Aces have swapped places. Everything remains examinable at the end, making the effect clean and impossible to explain.
Full Details
The trick involves a series of visual transformations where the Kings and Aces appear to teleport between the performer's hands and pockets. The routine is structured to build momentum, with each phase escalating the impossibility. The method is practical, allowing for smooth handling and natural misdirection. The effect is self-contained, meaning no additional gimmicks or reset are needed between performances.
Who Should Consider the Trick
This trick suits magicians who perform close-up or table magic and want a strong, visual card routine. It works well for walk-around performers, restaurant magicians, or those who need a quick, impactful effect. Since it relies on sleight of hand but remains easy to execute, it is accessible to intermediate magicians while still impressing advanced performers.
Difficulty
The iChange Project is described as easy to perform, with the magic happening quickly and smoothly. The handling is designed to minimize complex moves, making it achievable for those with basic card control skills. However, proper timing and presentation enhance the effect, so rehearsal is recommended to maximize impact.
