Pros
Exceptional build quality
Two performance options add versatility
Strong reactions in performances
Modular routine with multiple presentation styles taught
Cons
Limited to coins or thin wedding bands
Initial stiffness in the gimmick
Requires dedicating a pocket for the examinable version
Effect
The Vault Pro is a coin-to-impossible-location effect where a signed coin vanishes from the performer’s hand and reappears inside a nested set of metal boxes attached to their keychain. The keychain can either be left on the table from the start or pulled from the pocket, making the revelation even more deceptive. The nested boxes create a visual and tactile surprise as the spectator opens each layer to find their coin inside.
Full Details
The Vault Pro is a high-precision CNC-machined aluminum nest of boxes designed for durability and smooth handling. It includes:
- Two gimmicks: One for the "keys on the table" version and another for the "keys from the pocket" version.
- Metal loader: Ensures quick and easy setup.
- 20-minute tutorial: David Penn covers handling, multiple performance ideas (including flash paper vanishes and extra-coin deception), and reset methods.
- Clean angles: Nearly 360° visibility with minimal restrictions.
- Instant reset: Ready to perform again immediately after the reveal.
The trick works best with coins (dollar-sized or similar) or very thin wedding bands. The nested boxes are examinable in the "keys from the pocket" version, while the "keys on the table" version prioritizes deception over examination.
Who Should Consider the Trick
- Close-up and stand-up magicians: The Vault Pro is ideal for walk-around or table-hopping performances.
- Corporate performers: The sleek, high-quality metal design fits professional settings.
- Coin magic enthusiasts: Those looking for a clean, repeatable coin-to-impossible-location effect.
- Magicians who value modular routines: The two performance options allow for flexibility in presentation.
Difficulty
The Vault Pro is beginner-friendly, requiring only a basic coin vanish (French Drop, fake put, etc.). The handling is straightforward, but the "keys on the table" version benefits from subtlety in presentation. The gimmick may be stiff initially but loosens with use.
What Magicians Say
- Sebastian Toca: "The reactions have been mint. It’s a hard-hitting effect with exceptional build quality." He rates it 8.5/10, praising its modularity but noting the pocket space requirement.
- SaturnMagicShop: Calls it "one of the most powerful transfer effects," highlighting its visual impact and versatility.
- Craig Petty (Magic TV): Mentions it as a standout release, describing it as a "reimagining of the Vault by David Penn" with improved design.
The Vault Pro is a strong choice for magicians seeking a visually stunning, practical coin-to-impossible-location effect with professional-grade construction.

The Vault Pro is a reimagining of the Vault by David Penn and the Vault is a nest of boxes type thing but on a keyring so you can have a coin disappear and appear on a key ring inside a nest of boxes it's very cool.
SaturnMagicShop says...
The Vault Pro is a beautifully brushed aluminium nest of boxes that lives on your key ring whilst you perform you casually leave your keys on the table in front of your Spectators you borrow a ring or a coin it vanishes maybe in a flash of fire you then draw attention to your keys that have been on the table in full view the entire time attached to your key ring you draw attention to the bolt you open it up inside there's another box inside that box there's another box and inside that box yet another box when you open that box inside they'll discover their signed coin or rank it's a miracle.

The Vault Pro allows a signed coin to vanish from the performer’s hand and reappear inside a small, nested metal box attached to their keychain. The routine is modular, with two performance variations: Keys on the Table and Keys from the Pocket.
